Greater Flexibility in Molecular Testing Options - Coming Soon

Published on 10/09/14

Although analyzing genes for copy number variation can improve detection rates over sequencing alone, this examination may not be necessary to run concurrently with sequencing in all clinical scenarios. Therefore, EGL has decided to separate all deletion/duplication analysis from gene sequencing and offer the 2 test types separately. This should result in faster turnaround time for sequencing results and allow practitioners to order deletion/duplication analysis separately in cases where sequencing did not yield full diagnostic confirmation.
